Who is Sew N Pressed Customs?
We're a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned custom decoration shop in Holtsville, NY. Founded in 2023 by Pat and Joe Bellantoni - Pat is a disabled Army veteran, Joe runs the production floor. We do DTF transfers, embroidery, UV printing, laser engraving, custom stickers, and wall wraps - all under one roof, all on Long Island.
Where are you located?
Holtsville, NY (Suffolk County). We serve all of Long Island and ship nationwide. Local pickup available by appointment.
Are you really Veteran-Owned?
Yes - certified by NaVOBA (National Veteran-Owned Business Association). The seal on our footer is the real deal.
Do you have a storefront I can visit?

How do I get a quote?

Do you offer design services?
Yes. Simple text/logo placement is included free. Custom artwork or design from scratch is billed separately - usually $50-$200 depending on complexity.
PRICING
How much does it cost?
Depends on the service, quantity, and complexity. Some ballpark starting points: - DTF gang sheet (22"x24"): $24 base + content fill - Single DTF transfer: $3-$8 depending on size - Embroidered polo (12pc minimum): $15-$25/piece including garment - Custom engraving tumblers: $15-$20/piece for bulk - Bulk t-shirt printing: Tiered pricing - check our Bulk & Wholesale page for the table

Do you offer bulk discounts?
Yes - see our tiered pricing on the Bulk & Wholesale page. Discounts kick in at 50, 100, 250, 500+ pieces.
Do you charge setup fees?
- DTF: No setup fees ever.
- Embroidery: One-time digitizing fee ($50-$100) the first time we run a logo. Free on reorders - your digitized file is stored in your account forever.
- UV printing & laser engraving: Usually no setup fee. If we need to build a custom jig for your item (non-standard shape, batch production positioning, etc.), there's a one-time jig fee - typically $25-$75 depending on complexity.
- Screen printing: Setup per color.
TURNAROUND TIMES
How long does my order take?
- DTF transfers: 1-3 business days standard, rush available
- Embroidery: 7-10 business days
- UV / laser engraving: 7-10 business days
- Bulk orders (100+): 7-14 business days
- Custom storefronts: Print-on-demand - orders typically ship 7-14 business days from order date
Do you offer rush orders?
Yes - rush available on most services. Rush fees vary based on how rushed and what service. Call us if you have a tight deadline and we'll tell you straight whether we can hit it.
What happens if my deadline slips?
We'll tell you the moment we know. If we caused the delay, we make it right (rush ship, partial refund, whatever fits). If something on your end (file revisions, approval delays) caused it, we'll work with you to find the soonest realistic date.
DESIGN & FILE REQUIREMENTS
What file format do you need?
Best: PNG with transparent background, 300 DPI, sized at print dimensions. Also good: PDF, AI, EPS (vector files print sharpest). Acceptable: JPG (only if no transparency needed).
How big should my image be?
Designed at the size you want it printed, at 300 DPI. Example: a 10" wide chest print should be a 3000px wide image at 300 DPI.
My logo is on a website - can you use that?
Probably not for high-quality print. Web logos are 72 DPI and will look pixelated when blown up. Send us the original from your designer (or we can recreate it for you).
Can you change my design's colors?
Yes for vector files (free). Raster (PNG/JPG) color changes require recreating the file - billed as design work.
DTF (DIRECT-TO-FILM) TRANSFERS
What is DTF?
Direct-to-Film is a printing method where we print your design onto a special film, apply adhesive powder, then heat-press it onto your garment. Result: vibrant, detailed, full-color prints that work on cotton, polyester, blends, and most fabrics - including dark colors.
Why DTF instead of screen printing or vinyl?
- Full color, no setup per color (screen printing charges per color, DTF doesn't)
- Soft hand feel (way softer than vinyl)
- Works on dark fabric (no white underbase needed)
- Great for small runs and one-offs
What's a "gang sheet"?
A single 22"x24" sheet packed with multiple designs you cut apart yourself. Bulk-priced - way cheaper per design than individual transfers. Use our Build Your Gang Sheet tool to design your own.
How do I press a DTF transfer?
- Heat press: 300°F, 8-10 seconds, medium-firm pressure
- Peel: True hot peel - peel immediately after pressing, no cooling wait
- Re-press: 5-10 seconds after peel for durability
How long do DTF transfers last?
50+ wash cycles when applied correctly. Wash inside-out, cold/warm water, tumble dry low. They'll outlast the garment in most cases.
EMBROIDERY
What's the minimum for embroidery?
12 pieces for hats, 12 pieces for polos/shirts. Smaller orders are case-by-case (call us).
What's a digitizing fee?
First time we embroider your logo, we have to convert it from an image into stitch instructions for the embroidery machine. That's $50-$100 one-time. Reorders use the same digitized file - no fee.
Can you embroider on hats?
Yes - flat front and 3D puff embroidery available. We use Ricoma commercial machines.
Maximum design size for embroidery?
- Left chest: 4" x 4"
- Full back: 11" x 11"
- Hat front: 4" x 2"
- Hat side: 2" x 1"
UV PRINTING & LASER ENGRAVING
What can you UV print on?
Hard surfaces - phone cases, mouse pads, drinkware, signage, wood plaques, acrylic, metal plates. Full color, no minimum.
What can you laser engrave?
Wood, leather, slate, anodized metal (YETIs, Stanleys), acrylic, glass. Personalized drinkware is our most popular use case.
Can you do tumblers / YETIs?
Yes - both UV print (full color) and laser engraving (single color, deep etch). Most YETI-style cups available.
Is laser engraving permanent?
Yes - physical material removal. Won't fade, peel, or wash off. Lifetime durability.
STICKERS
What kind of stickers do you make?
- Die-cut vinyl stickers (custom shapes, weatherproof, dishwasher-safe)
- Holographic stickers
- Sticker sheets / kiss-cut sheets
What's the minimum quantity?
25 stickers minimum for custom orders. Sample packs available for design proofing.
BULK & WHOLESALE
How do I qualify for wholesale pricing?
50+ pieces in a single order qualifies for tier 1 pricing. See full tier table on the Bulk & Wholesale page.
How do payments work for bulk orders?
We accept credit card and ACH. Payment is due at order confirmation for all orders. Email Sales@Sewnpressedcustoms.com with any questions.
Can you fulfill orders directly to my customers?
Yes - drop-shipping and white-label fulfillment available for ongoing accounts. Ask about our fulfillment program.
CUSTOM STOREFRONTS
What's a custom storefront?
We build a private online store branded for your school, sports team, PTA, fundraiser, or business. Your supporters order directly. We produce. You get a check or net proceeds.
Is there an upfront cost?
No. Storefronts are free to set up. We earn from production margin. You earn the markup or fundraising profit.
How long does it take to launch?
Depends on artwork. If you have print-ready artwork, 3-5 business days from approved designs and product list to live store. If we need to create or refine artwork, the 7-10 business day clock starts after you approve the artwork. Returning customers with reusable assets are usually fastest.
How long does the order window stay open?
As long as you need it. We set up stores for single events, monthly ordering, full seasons, or year-round - whatever fits your timeline.
How do payouts work?
Payments can be arranged weekly, monthly, at the close of your fundraising event, or as soon as you hit a minimum goal - whichever works best for you.
SHIPPING & RETURNS
How does shipping work?
- Standard ground shipping calculated at checkout
- We ship via UPS, USPS, FedEx, or local delivery service depending on package size and destination
- Local pickup in Holtsville available - see below
Do you offer local pickup?
Yes. Same-day pickup is available depending on what you order - DTF transfers placed before noon are usually ready same day. Embroidery, UV, and laser jobs are pickup-ready once production is complete (turnaround times above). Pickup is by appointment at our Holtsville studio.
Do you ship internationally?
USA-only currently. Contact us for special international requests.
What's your return policy?
- Custom / personalized items: All sales final unless we made an error
- Defective products: We replace at no charge - send a photo within 7 days of receipt
What if my order arrives damaged?
Email us a photo immediately at Sales@Sewnpressedcustoms.com. We replace damaged items at no cost and handle the carrier claim ourselves.
ACCOUNT & PRIVACY
Do I need an account to order?
No - guest checkout works. But an account lets you track past orders, save addresses, and get reorder discounts.
Do you sell my information?
Never. Read our full Privacy Policy.
How do I unsubscribe from emails?
Click "unsubscribe" in any email footer, or email us and we'll handle it.
